Lessons learnt on Sat:
-Never ever watch a Mallika Sherawat flick - not sitting on the first row anyway.
-Take a good pair of ear-buds to catch up on sleep if you HAVE to watch the afore-mentioned wretched genre of movies.
-Not to drive like a lunatic just to get a few seconds of adrenaline rush - it's just not worth it. Now realize what my father exactly means when he says not to look at the speedometer to gauge the speed - the car should be in perfect control at all times. Will have to admit though - the car flight in the air, though small, was pretty exciting :)

Fryday

Options on a friday night: Ugly or Pagli/ Daaru at the usual place.
This is got to be the benchmark of how truly sad a life can be :P! Time to start boxing I guess :)
Or going to Himalayas for a 100 km run perhaps! And to get hold of some bloody good movies till the above actually materialize.

Nice

Ah - taking a day off on a Wednesday and have absolutely nothing worthwhile to do , sipping lemon tea killing time- got to be on the list of things that you got to do atleast once :). Could/should've gone to waterfall rappelling thing on Sunday- the weather was just perfect, but the dangerous concoction of laziness and drinking till 4 in the morning proved to be a fairly strong deterrent. From what I got to hear, it's def worth a try. Let's hope something exciting plans up this weekend.

"You got to be careful if you don't know where you're going, because you might not get there."
Couldn't agree more! Seem to be in this phase of life!
"What do you take me for, an idiot?"
- General Charles de Gaulle (1890-1970), when a journalist asked him if he was happy
Eloquence at its best! :)

Unquote

"Ah, but a man’s reach should exceed his grasp,
Or what’s a heaven for?"

"Great occasions do not make heroes or cowards; they simply unveil them to the eyes. Silently and imperceptibly, as we wake or sleep, we grow strong or we grow weak, and at last some crisis shows us what we have become."

"Life is a compromise of what your ego wants to do, what experience tells you to do, and what nerves let you do."
Bruce Crampton, professional golfer (b. 1935)

“Fall seven times. Stand up eight.”
Japanese proverb

"If you have made mistakes, even serious ones, there is always another chance for you. What we call failure is not the falling down, but the staying down."
Mary Pickford (Gladys Louise Smith), American actress (1893-1979)

“It is not falling into the water, but lying in it, that drowns.”

If it feels good - feel it!

Watched Bheja Fry on Fri .. I found the movie quite funny, though Deep would disagree with me here, I'm sure. It's one of those movies which don't make too much of an effort to evoke laughter from the audience - pure situational comedy. Had a good laugh..

I hardly get to see the likes of woh saat din (anil kapoor is an absolute god in this movie - would rate this better than jaane bhi do yaaron), jaane bhi do yaaron, angoor nowadays. It doesn't matter if you were watching these for the umpteenth time - you'd still end up rolling on the floor laughing. Guess it's just an off-shoot of the times we're living in - subtlety seems a bit out of fashion, and almost everyone seems to prefer the loud - and some of this's got to rub off on cinema.

Rats

Ah, the great truth of life:
It's a rat race. Even if I win, I'd still be a rat.
No one wins in a rat race. It's a round track, and everone's running, huffing, puffing, trying to overtake others.
The only ones enjoying the race are those in the stands :)
---
Why am I running?
It's pretty obvious, someone tells me. And it is.
Why did the pig cross the road?
To actualize its potential. That's what it's all about.
